OmniBOSS Phase III at DTW Ignite 2026

TM Forum's flagship event returns to Copenhagen from 23 to 25 June 2026, under the banner The Future. Faster. TAUSPACE is back on the Catalyst floor for the third instalment of the OmniBOSS programme.

This year addresses a problem operators have lived with quietly for years: what happens to commercial operations when the network goes dark. Subscribers do not stop needing to be reachable when a regional outage hits. Yet the systems that bill, balance, and reconcile them keep running, often charging for service that is no longer being delivered.

Phases I and II proved that an agentic BSS layer can read live commercial state, recommend a corrective action, and hand the action back to the systems of record under governance. Phase III extends that pattern across operators.

The demo runs the following sequence. A regional outage is detected. Two operators, with prior signed consent on a TM Forum Open API contract, compose a temporary fallback path through each other's BSS in real time. The system identifies affected subscribers, suspends conventional billing for the duration, routes traffic across the partner network, and reconciles commercially once service is restored. No spreadsheet at month-end. No manual hand-off in the middle of a crisis.

Why this matters

OmniBOSS started as a way to make BSS less brittle inside one operator. Phase III makes a harder claim: the same architectural discipline that lets a single BSS self-correct can let two BSS estates compose under contract. That is the capability emergency-response policy will require as 5G-SA networks become essential infrastructure. The Catalyst is the proving ground.

For the operator team in the room, the relevant question is straightforward. If your peer next door went offline for six hours tomorrow morning, what does your reconciliation look like at month-end? Phase III is one answer to that question.
