Why TAUSPACE

This isn’t a job for people who want to work on trivial problems. The platform charges real-time sessions for operators with subscribers in the tens of millions, runs the billing for FWA and MVNO launches, and sits in the path of partner ecosystems where missing a beat costs money. What you build ends up carrying live traffic.

What we look for

We’re small and management-owned. There’s no bench. Every person contributes directly to customer work. That means we hire experienced professionals — people who can pick up an ambiguous problem on Monday and have a usable plan by Wednesday.

Engineering

• Platform engineers who’ve kept real-time systems running through month-end. High availability, horizontal scalability, zero-downtime deployments — under load, not in a lab.
• Full-stack developers comfortable across the platform stack and the partner integration layer, with a preference for configuration-driven architecture over custom code.
• DevOps and infrastructure engineers experienced with containerisation, Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and database administration at scale.
• Integration specialists who can design and implement API-first architectures, mediation adapters, and event-driven messaging patterns.

Advisory and strategy

• Business analysts with telecoms domain expertise: BSS/OSS processes, eTOM frameworks, and operator commercial models.
• Solution architects who can bridge business requirements and technical implementation, particularly in BSS transformation programmes.
• Project managers experienced in agile delivery for telecoms platform implementations, including data migration, parallel runs, and cutover planning.

Commercial

• Account managers with existing relationships in the African and Middle Eastern telecoms markets.
• Pre-sales consultants who can translate platform capability into a business case the customer can buy.

How we work

• Remote-first, two offices. The team works across time zones, with offices in Fourways, South Africa and Lewes, Delaware. We value output over attendance.
• Small teams, real ownership. Engineers own features from spec to production. Consultants own the client relationship from intro to retention. The chain of responsibility is short and visible — no PMs translating between sub-teams.
• Continuous learning. Telecoms technology evolves. We don’t expect engineers to be experts in tomorrow’s stack on day one, but we do expect them to be curious about it. Training and conference budget come with the role.
• Direct customer access. You’ll work directly with operators, banks, and digital brands. No layers of abstraction between you and the people who use what you build.

The five operating values that show up on the leadership page exist in Fourways and Lewes too — on the wall, but more importantly on the calls. The test isn’t whether they’re posted; it’s whether they hold up at 5pm on a Friday when something breaks. They do, mostly. When they don’t, it’s a leadership conversation, not a slide.
